Sage is an herb with oblong gray-green leaves. Sage is native to southwestern United States and northwestern Mexico. The herb has a pungent, slightly bitter to peppery flavour. The herb is available in both fresh and dried form. Sage is one of the few herbs which actually has a more intense and concentrated flavour after drying.
